Why is pride considered such a serious sin in the Bible?
Because pride sits at the root of so many other sins.
Pride tells us we don’t need God’s help. It tells us we’re right even when we’re wrong. It makes it hard to repent, hard to forgive, and hard to admit our faults.
What’s interesting is that most people can spot pride in others, but struggle to see it in themselves.
The Pharisees had a lot of knowledge, but their pride kept them from recognizing Jesus.
That’s why pride is so dangerous. It doesn’t just affect what you do.
It affects whether you’re willing to let God lead you at all.
