Interaction design separates good from great products.
The best way to learn it is with examples.
So I made this massive post with 43 original examples!

The biggest mistake I see leadership teams make is not sharing the context behind strategy changes.
At The Knot we used a framework called KUBA.
K: let them know what is changing
U: help them understand why
B: help them believe it’s the right thing
A: enable / empower them to act
Our daughter’s teacher at summer school is non-binary.
It was a quick conversation about
‘they/them’ and a complete non-issue for our 6yo.
Adapting to folk’s pronouns is not that effing hard, people.
so funny that goldman sachs lost $1 billion due to the apple credit card partnership and it seems to be primarily because apple created a credit card experience that is not predatory towards its users (e.g. no fees other than interest, regular payment reminders)
Personal finance blog MoneyUnder30 sold for $675,000 this month.
As far as I can tell - the situation is a bit tough to unravel - there's a good chance the site was losing money.
It was last acquired in 2017 for $7M by XLMedia $XLM.
XLMedia have been selling off their personal finance sites (also sold InvestorJunkie last month) and this is the last one to go.
They reported that for 2022, their finance assets generated $1.9M in revenue, with an EBITDA loss of $1.3M.
It could be the case that other sites accounted for that loss and not MoneyUnder30, but that's still a ~90% valuation decrease in 7 years.
I only started really looking into this a few hours ago so I may have missed something but that's my understanding so far. Happy to be updated / corrected in the comments.
I much prefer reporting on good news in this space so good luck to the new owners. I wouldn't be surprised to see the site get a bit of a design refresh to start with.
Whenever I see someone post "X thoughts on how this business can grow" or "here's how hot startup is crushing this channel" type takes, and we actually work with that business... it's amusing to see just how off the takes are.
Armchair marketing is just misguided clickbait.
Writing a good product document doesn't have to be difficult.
Whether you're writing a PRD (Product Requirements Document) or a shorter brief, pick from these 10 sections.
Here are 10 sections of Product Document explained:

"Airbnb Rooms" is a savvy rebrand of the private room option, which has existed...forever.
My guess is user research showed that customers viewed private rooms as sketchy & off-putting.
The rebrand focuses on your host's photo, interests, hobbies. Creates a feeling of trust, safety, even community.
The new launch has the added benefits of 1) combatting criticisms that Airbnb has become exorbitantly expensive, and 2) taking on hotels more head-on.
Brilliant way to revamp an old, misunderstood feature and give it a new identity.
@RobertFreundLaw@aleyda These laws are super common in Europe too. And they are covered on the high school business curriculum. It’s hard to believe they didn’t abide by them. Amazon and others found a way around them displaying RRP instead.
@FitFounder The @VanMoof e-bike (~$3.5k) shortened my commute from 40 minutes to just 15 minutes. Now I get time back, enjoy commuting outdoors and don’t arrive to work sweaty.
