Great example on 99: on a single page, we have Zampano's text, Traunt's notes/narration, a note from the editor, and Zampanos' footnotes. Voices constantly talking over each other and clashing instead of streamlining into a single, coherent narrative as in Dracula. #eng600

Really interesting to look at HoL in relation to Dracula. Dracula erases unique voices/materiality by having all documents reproduced by Mina, whereas HoL demands the reader remain attentive to the different sources.
