FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
🚨 SECURITY ALERT AND PUBLIC NOTICE
Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF)
Kampala, Uganda
The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) wishes to formally notify its member associations, stakeholders, the general public, media fraternity, and national security agencies of credible information regarding a planned and coordinated effort by certain individuals and groups to orchestrate incidents aimed at discrediting Eddy Kenzo and the leadership of UNMF.
Nature of the Concern
UNMF has received intelligence indicating attempts to:
Stage public confrontations and security incidents
Circulate false allegations and misleading narratives
Manipulate media platforms and online channels
Undermine the reputation, credibility, and ongoing work of the Federation leadership
These actions appear calculated to create public disorder, reputational damage, and institutional mistrust.
Context
Preliminary findings suggest that these activities may involve:
Certain promoters and industry actors
A section of musicians acting outside the spirit of unity and professionalism
Individuals who previously held positions of responsibility but did not establish sustainable industry structures
Some media practitioners and bloggers
Elements of political opportunism seeking relevance through controversy
UNMF emphasizes that these remain matters of concern under observation, and relevant authorities are best placed to investigate and determine accountability.
Call to Action
To UNMF Member Associations
We urge all members to:
Remain calm, vigilant, and responsible
Avoid engagement in provocations or unverified claims
Report any suspicious developments through official UNMF and security channels
Uphold the Federation’s values of unity, discipline, and professionalism
To the Media and Public
We appeal for:
Responsible reporting and verification of information
Avoidance of amplifying unverified or sensational content
Continued support for constructive industry development
To Security Agencies
UNMF respectfully calls upon the relevant authorities to:
Take note of this alert and enhance preventive and protective measures
Investigate any attempts to incite disorder or target individuals
Ensure the safety and security of all stakeholders, particularly during public engagements
UNMF Position
The Uganda National Musicians Federation remains committed to:
Peaceful engagement and national unity
Structured growth and governance of the music industry
Strengthening its collaborative relationship with government and stakeholders
We strongly condemn any efforts to use intimidation, misinformation, or orchestrated conflict as tools for personal, political, or commercial gain.
Conclusion
UNMF reassures all stakeholders that it will continue to operate with transparency, integrity, and resilience in advancing the interests of musicians and the creative sector in Uganda.
The Federation will continue to work closely with relevant authorities to ensure that peace, order, and professionalism are maintained across the industry.

As we celebrate “independence,” two thugs entered into a shop at Ham Shopping Centre and made off with an iPhone and a bag containing UGX 3M. The case has already been reported to the police.
Dear @Lukowoyesigyire, kindly look into this matter and help a hustling Ugandan get justice.
