@TheAhithophel@Hardheyjhoke@AnyanwuMalachy I completely disagree, the “non-simps” make decisions daily, wise to unwise without the knowledge of their wives, regardless of the kind of woman she is.
It’s unwise to attack a woman based on the decisions of a man, hold the Adult accountable
@kenkenlewu I think the problem is the family arrangement, so if she could maintain the lifestyle, you mean the second child would finish from a 600k school while the first a 35k school and you expect resentment would not build up?
My sister: Last born, how far it's holiday o
Me: ooh ok, how are the kids
My sister : They are missing you, (quickly rush to give her youngest the phone) "hello aunty glo, we want to come to your house small.
Me: awwwwwn, give the phone to your mummy.( He returns the phone). Sister my schedule don't have space for kids now.
My sister: Come and carry this children and learn how to deal with noise, oya please just for 4 days.
Her husband in the background: I will give her money, tell her I will give her money.
"I’m not sure I love her."
Three full years of dating. Families heavily involved. Millions spent on the venue and catering, invitations printed. But right there that morning, reality just hit him.
The wedding no hold again. Guests went home confused, some vexing, some just in total shock.
Months later, the bride posted something online that really stuck with me. She wrote: "Embarrassment is temporary. A wrong marriage is permanent."
Honestly, as painful as that day was for everyone, calling it off saved two lives from years of misery. It is always better to face a single afternoon of chaos than a lifetime of quiet regret.
@a4lasade Some family secrets aren't about privacy; they're about hiding accountability. The truth has a way of surfacing, no matter how carefully it's buried.
My father is not Otedola
But my mother never lifted a finger to work during any of her pregnancies.
She is still a size 8 at 67+ because daddy keeps funding her healthy feeding
I grew up eating veggies like Broccoli, kale, cauliflower, zucchini, radishes etc because my father could afford paying for them to be brought fresh from Jos for his wife monthly.
My mom grows berries, custard apples and other exotic fruits at home because her husband could afford a house with enough land for her horticultural garden and is building her a bigger house with even more land for gardening
If I say I want a man with my father’s money A LOT of you in this generation won’t be able to afford 1% of the comfort he gave and still gives my mom.
I eat salads, drink green teas constantly and I know how expensive they are. The average Nigerian man cannot daily pay 12k for breakfast and dinner salad (I am doing this for myself as a single woman because I grew up eating this way).
Otedola is far, middle income fathers exist and a lot of you small boys still can’t afford the things our middle class fathers can afford but keep talking.
