Every spend, caught.
Scan the QR, snap the receipt, forward the bank email, or just say it. 6pm writes it down. At six, one swipe closes your day. Tomorrow: one number you can spend.
iPhone, Fri 6 Nov. Try the beta now:

@schntlr Money moving deserves a bit of ceremony, nice one. We went the other way for closing out a day of spends: quiet taps and sounds, one card at a time, all Reanimated.
@AnointingUche1 "To understand your situation, not to punish yourself" is the line most budgeting advice forgets. The snack is just the spend people can see, while rent and wages do the real damage.
@Seanwvibedev 6pm, an iPhone money app that catches spends during the day and lets you close the day with one swipe at six. Public beta is open if you want to poke at it: https://t.co/23Ej2MTjsw
@lglabgreg Weekend polish on 6pm here, an iPhone app that catches spends as they happen (shop QR, receipts, bank emails) so the day closes with one swipe at 6pm. This clip is the catching part.
@joshmonarez Two apps on one ledger sounds like a good way to keep the peace at home 😄 Which side are you building first, the spreadsheet or the number?
Wish this had existed two weeks ago, we built 6pm's iPhone Duo layout (Expo + Reanimated) on our own little fold module and the hinge as a shared value would have saved a lot of bridging. Does the status also tell you when it's standing half open, or just the angle and open/closed?
@santoshsonnad_ Our bet from building one: people stop the day typing every coffee starts to feel like homework, not because a feature is missing. So 6pm catches spends on its own (QR, receipts, bank emails) and only asks for a one-minute check at 6pm.
@julienrenaux Expo + Reanimated here, with small Swift bits only where iOS insists (widgets, share extension). Building 6pm, an iPhone app that reads your QR payments and receipts so the day closes in one swipe at six.
Fold it shut to close the day.
6pm on the iPhone Duo: at 6pm the Close opens as a book (cards left, ledger right), and folding the phone shut finishes it, once nothing is left to decide.
Real app footage from the Duo simulator; the fold in the middle is an illustration.
App Store Fri 6 Nov. Beta on TestFlight now (https://t.co/puzpP5CFBa).
Eggs in the US are back down to $2.27 a dozen (record was $6.23). Coffee is 44% pricier than two years ago. (NPR, Oct 20)
The economy is clearly telling us to stop going out for brunch and start making omelettes at home.
As a studio literally named after eggs, we feel seen.
@transformapso Good luck with the Conecto beta! Ours is open too: 6pm, an iPhone app that catches your spends all day and closes the day with one swipe at six, out 6 Nov https://t.co/23Ej2MTjsw
@claudiamiclea A private server for an old game is such a labour of love, which game? Over here it's 6pm, an iPhone app that closes your day's spending with one swipe at six (this is the real close).
@ZazaGDev Please tell me there's an App Review rejection event that wipes a day of progress 😅 We're building 6pm, an iPhone money app that catches your spends and closes the day with one swipe at six.
@kd_cuts Each card gets a little tap under your thumb and the finished day lands with a heavier one, so it actually feels done 😂 The beta's open if you want to judge the haptics yourself: https://t.co/23Ej2MTjsw
Every budget app wants an hour on Sunday. We wanted one minute at 6pm.
At six, the day's spends line up as cards: keep, edit, or "not mine". Swipe through. Done before the rice cooker clicks.
Last card gone, the day gets stamped CLOSED. Very satisfying. Slightly addictive.
Next morning: one number. What's safe to spend today, with bills and future you already set aside.
Missed a day? It waits. Six doesn't suit you? Move the close anywhere from 15:00 to 23:45.
Real app, screen-recorded. Out Fri 6 Nov, 18:00 ICT, on iPhone. #buildinpublic
@thejacobpegs Pip doing a little dance when someone makes a sale is the screenshot right there, love that. We're building 6pm, an iPhone budget app you close with one swipe at 6pm, out on the App Store 6 Nov.
@0xkasun Answering "can I afford this" before the spend instead of reporting after is the right question, and a widget is the perfect spot for it. Do bills that haven't hit yet come off that number, or just what's already gone out?
@BuildWithMrinal Local midnight is what we went with too, even our server-side daily limits reset on the user's midnight instead of UTC. Good luck with the rest of the 100 days!
