Well since this is a Metroidvania I would want it more inline with the gameplay of Igavanias which this game clearly isn't. Bloodstained is more true to Sotn and up Metroidvanias than this new game will ever be.

@MugenLord @UMDunnoBro It's mixed because the new 3h audiences who live the persona stuff and heavier story emphasis hate it. Engage is way closer to FE, mid story with straight forward gameplay. It's why it's leagues above 3h and fw.

In the original, you were able to assign three different items to whichever C-button you wanted, while the remake confines you to only one item at a time.
That doesn't sound like a quality of life change to me.
