Next Thursday marks 50 years since the pub bombings tore our city apart.
Let’s bring Birmingham to a stand still for one minute next week as we remember the 21 lives lost. But we should also remember the acts of unity that night which showed Birmingham pulling together; those were the police, fire brigade, ambulance drivers who sped to the scene, the doctors and nurses who rushed back to work, taxi drivers who shuttled the injured to hospital.
Birmingham remembers. Let’s all join in!
