If today was the pro bowl, here is my list for Bears that I think should be selected and a couple I think are on the cusp.
1) Tory Taylor
- incredible punting distance, and some key pins - see week 5 against LAR as the Special Teams player of the Week.
Per @BearsPR, Tory Taylor’s punting average of 61.5 yards today is the highest in franchise history (since at least 1948) in a game with multiple punts. The previous record-holder was Maury Buford (57.5 yards on 9/8/85)
@dan_bernstein It’s a fullback dive. Because it was a fumble, we are up in arms. The chances that it’s a fumble aren’t that high. Hand offs aren’t rocket science.
@OsoSm0kes@irv_773 Push through season 1! I love a few of the episodes, but I hear so many people say they can’t watch them. It’s only like 2 and a half hours. Season 2 is where most fall in.
@Jasonnochimp@IrishBearsShow So no, I don’t think Eberflus is signing off on every 3rd down fullback dive. I think Head Coaches are focused on critical decisions aka “go or not go” on a 4th down.
@Jasonnochimp@IrishBearsShow Does Andy Reid give the ok on every 3rd down fire blitz? Is Kyle Shanahan signing off when the rush 3 on a 3rd down?
The Kramer play was a fullback dive. It’s not groundbreaking trickery. That hand off is successful a high percentage of time - these guys are pro athletes.
