So a source from Chelsea leaked that Myles Lewis-Skelly had been offered to them.
By who? No one knows. The journalists that reported the exclusive don’t even know.
They ran the story anyway.
Myles Lewis-Skelly’s camp, including his mum who is his agent, were shocked when this news broke. Arsenal were also shocked.
News later followed that the player only wants to stay at Arsenal and isn’t interested in leaving. This story seems to have come from the players’ camp, shutting down the false reports this morning.
Chelsea tried their luck. Now go look elsewhere. He’s ours.
Skelly is fully Arsenal through and through.
The noise today did not come from the player side at all. Infact, they were shocked at reports and confused.
The boy loves Arsenal but the interest in him is real.
🚨 Myles Lewis-Skelly wants to stay at Arsenal and is fully focused on establishing himself in Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans for the upcoming season.
Interest from elsewhere but Lewis-Skelly is happy at #AFC & not exploring a move.

If Arsenal let Myles Lewis-Skelly go to Chelsea, I don’t care how much for, then the whole club can do one.
19-years-old. Started in the UCL final. Stepped up to win us our first league title in 22 years. And you want to sell him? To our rivals?
If Arsenal were trying to sign him this summer, he’d be worth £100m.
I don’t believe it’s true. Football London can get in the bin if they’ve made this up.
Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Manchester United and Chelsea.
Not a new link with either club, but fresh contact with both following the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes, as @BobbyVincentFL and @TomCantonMedia called.
Arsenal rewarded Lewis-Skelly with a new deal last summer.🏴
🚨Marli Salmon will not go out on loan this summer, as per @gunnerblog.
He will remain around the Arsenal first-team and is expected to get chances this season.
Team for Como should be:
GK: Meslier - we need to see him play 90 mins as Kepa can not be trusted
RB: Mosquera - better at RB due to aerial weakness
RCB: Salmon - we need to see him play for a 60 mins. He was great today and may play more minutes than expected. Use the last preseason game to see if he is ready.
LCB: Gabriel - clearly not full throttle but see what a partnership with Salmon looks like.
LB: Hincapié - Calafiori shouldn’t play twice in a week in preseason when we have Hincapié to get up to speed as well.
CM: Lewis-Skelly - continue to show faith. He has played fine but been left a bit exposed without a midfield parter.
CM: Bruno G / Zubimendi - give both 45 mins to not overwhelm them and see how they both partner with Lewis-Skelly.
AM: Ødegaard - looked good today. More minutes ahead of starting on Sunday.
RW: Dowman - sparkling moments. Keep starting him. Saka off the bench for 15 mins to see how he responds with 30 mins on Sunday.
LW: Tzolis - our best player in preseason. Looking forward to seeing him when we have a proper midfield and he can focus on final 3rd actions which have been very promising so far.
CF: Havertz - end the midfield experiment. Start him with Tzolis and a proper midfield and see if he is still a starting level CF that can lead the line. Gyökeres on in the second half to keep both fresh.
Preseason results don’t matter but partnerships, patterns and fitness do. Last preseason game has to be used to actually learn what will and won’t work.
🚨⚒️EXCL: West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Reiss Nelson on a season-long loan from Arsenal. #WHUFC keen to add further depth to their attacking options, with the player open to making the move. #Arsenal would have preferred a permanent sale with the winger entering the final year of his contract, but talks over a loan are progressing at pace.

🚨🔃 Breaking: Swap deal agreed between Everton and Crystal Palace, here we go!
Dwight McNeil joins #CPFC and Brennan Johnson joins #EFC, everything done and medical starting today for both. 💥
Mikel Arteta says that Jurrien Timber is still “weeks” from returning from a groin injury but that the defender is “progressing well”.
Timber, 25, withdrew from the Netherlands’ World Cup squad this summer due to an ongoing groin issue that he initially suffered against Everton in March.
