This is something Nigerians need to learn about money.
This guy literally says he makes a good living and money isn’t a major concern for his family, yet he saw a $60 T-shirt and said No way! and walked away.
Give the average Nigerian the same purchasing power and there’s a good chance he buys three, posts the shopping bag online and tips the sales attendant just to complete the performance.
We sometimes confuse being able to afford something with something being worth the money and oh well it adds to inflation
Consumers have pricing power too. If enough people refuse to pay ridiculous prices, businesses eventually have to respond. But when people keep paying simply because they can afford it, you’re basically telling the market there’s still room to charge you more.
Having money should not remove your sense of value for money.
