⚠️SCAM ALERT⚠️
I woke up to messages on VGen from my clients saying there's someone contacting them on Discord, claiming they were me and asked about commissions.
They copied everything on my VGen profile, name, bio, pfp etc that even confused me for a minute to realize it wasnt me
If you see them contacting you on Discord, please block them immediately to avoid scams or false, misleading infomation.
Thank you so much!!🌷
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Today I want to clarify a few things regarding the recent AI posts containing models I drew for a specific client. Thank you for your encouragement, support, and concern.
Q: Do my artworks contain or use AI?
🐰: I can assure you that all my artwork is 100% my own creation. Everything, from the smallest details to the largest, is meticulously drawn by me over hours. Each painting is a work of art that I cherish, pouring my sweat and effort into, and doing my best to satisfy my clients.
Q: Is it permissible for my artworks to be used with AI?
🐰: Before the recent incident, I hadn't considered this creating a loophole in my original Terms of Service (TOS). On September 8th of this year, I updated the TOS to include a rule that state that my artwork and commissions may not be used for AI in any form. I cannot guarantee that clients will listen and comply, but from now on, this rule will apply to all commissions after September 8th. Regarding my personal art, I flat out forbid anyone from using my published and unfinished works. (1/2)
Q: Was I involved in that client's project?
🐰: No, they invited me, but I politely declined because I wanted to focus on my own commissions and artwork.
Q: Did you allow them to use the model to promote their program?
🐰: I have no opinion on this. They can use the model they commissioned from me to run tests on their program. As stated above, I didn’t have a rule forbidding this use. However, I am not part of their project or represent anyone else.
These are some questions I've received regarding the recent incident. Please feel free to ask any further questions. I will try to answer everyone. I hope everyone will look at this matter from a more multifaceted perspective and please refrain from arguing or slandering anyone! Thank you for reading, I hope this post will help us understand each other better. Please continue to support and help me, thank you so much (2/2)
Also- this happened a few weeks ago. They never replied after this and I ended up blocking + blacklisting them.
Guys, don't do this to an artist. I'm pretty sure this person was trying to get me to lower my prices but it's genuinely so scummy.
@michimouto_art i have my layers separated, line art, skin base , shading etc, and then it takes me somewhat a minue to pick correct color and refill it. It doesnt need to have 7749 versions of skin color and skin tone
yeha idk...YCHs make it easier to change skin colors if you have the base and shadow layers separated. It takes me what? a minute to change character's skin color so idk ... maybe just me
About the skin tone fee on our YCH service
We’re sorry for charging extra for skin tone changes on this YCH. We didn’t think this through properly.
When we made the template, we only prepared a version with pale skin. Other skin tones needed manual changes to the existing artwork, so we added a fee for that work. At the time, we were only thinking about the extra editing. We didn’t stop to think that this meant people with darker-skinned characters would have to pay more for the same YCH.
We should have prepared for different skin tones from the start. That was our mistake, and customers shouldn’t have had to pay extra because of it.
We also want to be clear that we never intended to exclude anyone because of their skin tone or ethnicity. We’ve worked on many custom model commissions featuring darker-skinned characters and characters from different ethnic backgrounds, and we’ve always been happy to take those requests. We understand, though, why this fee made people question that.
We will cancel the extra charge for natural human skin tone changes and refund any additional fees already paid for them. If you paid one, please DM us so we can return it. We won’t charge extra for natural human skin tones in future commissions.
Looking back, we wish we’d thought about this before putting the service up. We’re sorry to the customer who raised this and to everyone who felt unwelcome because of our pricing. We hope this explains what happened, and we’ll follow through on fixing it.
