The girls in the video are the female leaders of the Badrunnesa College Students League, Awami League's student wing. When they opposed student protests last month, and attacked students. On July 17, The students tied them.

This has nothing to do with recent #BangladeshViolence nor is there any Hindu-Muslim angle to this as most shops were of local Muslims.
