Padahal, buku itu:
Bukan barang mewah
Bukan barang tersier
Bahkan punya fungsi pendidikan..

Contohnya nih, bacaan seperti fiksi dan novel itu melatih kemampuan imajinasi pembaca..

Atau bacaan populer yang justru membangun kebiasaan membaca.

Nah yang menariknya..
Hanya beberapa buku yang bebas pajak:
- buku agama, kitab suci dan buku pelajaran umum menurut PMK 5/2020.

Di luar itu malah dikenakan pajak. Kenapa ada pembedaan seperti ini?

Padahal, kalau negara serius ingin meningkatkan literasi...
Semua jenis buku jangan dipajakin. Kalau harganya lebih murah, makin banyak yang membeli buku.

Penerbit senang, penulis juga untung (apalagi kalau besaran loyaltinya memihak penulis)

Daripada rakyat asyik nonton video pendek,

Apa ga lebih baik rakyat jadi suka baca buku?
