Respected Sir @MohanMOdisha @Bhaskar__Sarma, we had huge hopes for transparent governance and environmental accountability under the leadership of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji and the new @BJP4Odisha Government. However, serious concerns regarding possible mangrove damage, misleading ground reporting, and administrative mismanagement under Puri Wildlife Division continue to disturb many conscious citizens.

After raising these ecological concerns in public interest, instead of transparent scientific discussion, I experienced an aggressive and intimidating response over phone call from the IFS officer in charge of @dfopuriwl . Most concerningly, even before completion of any independent verification or enquiry, the official notice itself has already termed the concerns raised by citizens as “fake & baseless” and attributed “malafide intention.”

How can the same office against whom concerns are raised, itself conduct the enquiry and simultaneously conclude that everything is fine? Such actions deeply shake public confidence in environmental governance and administrative neutrality.

Mangroves are fragile ecological assets protecting Odisha’s coastlines and biodiversity. If genuine ecological concerns regarding possible damage or cutting of mangroves are discouraged instead of independently verified, it raises serious questions regarding accountability and responsibility within the system.

We have supporting evidence and are ready to present facts before a fair and independent State-level enquiry. Kindly ensure transparent investigation and environmentally responsible governance in such ecologically sensitive regions. Odisha and India deserve committed, accountable, and scientifically responsible officers for protection of our natural heritage. 🙏
