Happy #HandloomDay to everyone !
Thanks to Hon’ble PM Sri @narendramodi ji for dedicating Aug 7 for Handloom Weavers.
This is a big tribute to our Timeless Weavers who weave day and night to preserve our age old weaves!
Went to @CCIC_Emporium to buy few !
This is a beautiful Charkha Sambalpuri Bandha Cotton Saree , a masterpiece cotton saree, designed and woven by Sri Deepak Meher from Barpali weaving village of Bargarh district, Odisha bought from @Utkalamrita@CCIC_Emporium Delhi , which I bought to Salute our weavers!
This saree has Charkha motifs woven all over the body, with the dobby border being of three lines of fishes woven beautifully.
It has Charkha motifs woven in the pallu giving the entire saree a great, ethereal and most exclusive look.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी ने ना सिर्फ़ सबसे Local Product ख़रीदने का अवाहन किया बल्कि ख़ुद भी Handloom के Brand Ambassador बने !
Bought another Timeless
Sachipar , Sambalpuri saree from #Delhi@CCIC_Emporium !
Checked patterns across the body are its forte.
The border is a double color one in red & black with the red part having wavy lines & the black one having fish and duck motifs.
The pallu is a typical "Saarabandha" black pallu, meaning it has every type of Sambalpuri motif woven on it such as fish, lion, bird, flower, temple, creepers and more.
They provide a classy power dressing statement, as they are understated, smart and bold at the same time.
I just love Handlooms !
I support Local Weavers - Do you?

Question for those who claim and share that- "Odisha has only cream/brown Rasagola":
What is the colour of the Rasagola in this image?

Step into the spirit of Rath Yatra, the grand annual chariot festival of Puri, Odisha. This monumental Hindu festival commemorates the ceremonial nine-day journey of Lord Jagannath, his brother Lord Balabhadra, and his sister Devi Subhadra from their primary abode, the Jagannath Temple, to the Gundicha Temple.
The time is nearing, the deities will once again embark on their sacred journey to meet millions of devotees seeking their blessings and participate in the revered tradition of pulling the three massive and decorated wooden chariots.
