“Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It’s a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

@jjjjovian and to frame this as a modern american phenomenon is odd. there’s examples of gay people all throughout history across hundreds of cultures. you believe all of that is a trauma response? all of it? ever?
@jjjjovian your argument is that being lgbtq is a trauma response. curious how you came to that conclusion. would you suggest every lgbtq person alive can trace that realization back to trauma? hard to believe.. and there is no “gay gene” .. are you implying there’s a straight gene?
kinda bummed to hear that shia lebouf is very clearly not sober and obviously still a piece of shit. mostly bummed because it its not surprising at all. sucks.
@K_mR911@OptaSTATS@BrooklynNets i’d argue the opposite. makes it more impressive because the entirety of the game planning most teams are doing is trying to deny him the ball
