The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) has reaffirmed its commitment to tripartism and social dialogue, emphasizing its mandate to represent and safeguard employers’ interests alongside COTU(K) and the Government. The Management Board expressed full confidence in the Executive Director and CEO, noting that her statements reflect the official position of employers on labour and economic issues.
FKE also raised concern over the rising cost of doing business, citing increased statutory obligations, regulatory pressures, and operational costs that continue to affect competitiveness, investment, and job creation. The Federation called for labour and economic policies that balance employee welfare with business sustainability.
The Board urged all social partners to respect established labour institutions such as the National Labour Board and Wages Councils, while calling on Government to prioritize policies that enhance ease of doing business, protect jobs, promote investment, and ensure policy stability

The lake cannot be managed in isolation without considering what happens at the catchment.
Catchment areas must be taken into account, including everything that flows into the lake. Sustainable management requires an holistic approach.
