@BillTheKid1603 France was litteraly on the verge of civil war from 1937 onwards to 1940. Germany was twice as populated and had been rearming for 7 seven at minimum. The germans tanks were also running on soviet oil. The BEF was useless and the French had to save their escape at Dunkirk.
