[Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room @SituationRoomNg]

Today, Situation Room was present at @ProGender's event “Volunteering for Democracy: Situation Room Youth-led Civic Action in Democratic Governance”, which also featured the launch of their Youth Manual on Civic Action and Election Observation.

This event forms part of @ProGender's broader initiative on Volunteering for Democracy, aimed at increasing national awareness and policy commitment to volunteerism as a catalyst for stronger democratic governance. The project seeks to promote the uptake of volunteer-recognition scheme recommendations, strengthen youth capacity and participation in peaceful civic action, election observation, and democratic reforms, and enhance Situation Room’s visibility and engagement among young Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Overall, it was an insightful and enriching event that highlighted the crucial role of young people in shaping Nigeria’s democratic future.
