🗣 Marc Cucurella: "Jose Mourinho told me he was really looking forward to working with me, I would adapt very well, and that Real Madrid was a great club.
I'm very happy for Mourinho's confidence. I can't wait to start working with him."

Am I the only one who has lost hope in anything in the Premier League? Like, I'm not moved by where we are going to finish in the Premier League except in the top 5, which is extremely unlikely at the moment.
Jorrel Hato is the only reason I'm looking forward to the game. I love when players go through a little adversity and still emerge without a scratch. He's been amazing.
🗣️ Marco Materazzi: "I do not know if they have the best manager for what Chelsea need right now. They have to try for Cesc Fabregas this summer.
I can see Chelsea in the future for Fabregas. Why not? Chelsea are the best club for Fabregas because they have young players who will follow his words immediately."
Liam Rosenior on Palmer:
🗣️ "Obviously Cole is a great player. When he’s in the team, the team is a better team, like it would be for any team in the world.
But we have to make sure that we build him and every player in the squad in the right way."

Too much stats can muddle the real picture. The most important thing is creating enough chances, being efficient in front of goal, and defending well, even if it means defending a goal to win games.
I wouldn't bother with shot volume; rather, I would focus more on defending well and conceding less XG against.
Fmr City Academy coach Brian Barry-Murphy [Cardiff manager] on Cole Palmer:
🗣 “In our first training sessions together, the thing that instantly set Cole apart from others was his movement.
A lot of kids have incredible feet, they can shoot, they can pass – the technical aspects of the game. But the mental side, having that understanding of space, can be crucial.
Cole would make very intelligent runs all the time. I was excited to be working with him.”

🗣️ Troy Deeney: “The player I am looking forward to seeing most is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer. Last season he showed so much of that fearlessness on the ball that I love to see.
Palmer was a bit of a surprise package after his move from Manchester City, and I don’t think teams were always set up specifically to stop him.”
