@oej Wrt DTLS has anyone realized how horrible it is with regard to session setup? It takes 6 messages back and force just to negotiate. That's 3xRTT, and if you have more than one leg in a chain those would up. I.e. 50ms RTT, 2 legs entail 300ms end-to-end session setup delay!
