@BobbyMilone29 Similar when you say to bookmark the Yankees are gonna make a ton of trades before rule 5 cuz you think teams want their quadruple A players and they end up just DFA’ing all of them?
JORGE POSADA: “I CAN’T WATCH TODAY’S BASEBALL.”
Yankees legend Jorge Posada, a 4-time World Series champion and one of the faces of the dynasty years, (The Core 4) did not hold back during his interview on Abriendo El Podcast.
Posada said today’s game has become too robotic, too obsessed with formulas, and too accepting of strikeouts.
“The baseball being played today is garbage,” Posada said.
He also pushed back hard on the analytics crowd trying to judge Derek Jeter’s defense strictly through modern numbers.
“You can’t judge Jeter through a computer.”
That line right there is pure old-school Yankees.
Posada came from an era where putting the ball in play mattered. Moving runners mattered. Taking pride in not striking out mattered. He said back then, striking out 100 times in a season felt like you were not doing your job.
Now? Guys can strike out constantly, hit 30 home runs, bat .202, and still get paid like stars.
His message was simple:
The game got smarter on paper, but dumber between the lines. #yankees #repbx
The @Yankees' Cam Schlittler:
2025 WC vs. Bos: 12 K, 0 BB, 0 R
Tonight vs. Cin: 13 K, 0 BB, 0 R
He's the only pitcher in MLB history to have a scoreless start with 12+ strikeouts and no walks in both the regular season and the postseason.
@BobbyMilone29 So you copied the v RH lineup they used today and then fit your lefty lineup it’s all the platoons they’ve been using all year. You’re a genius Bobby
The dude who bailed on the team before the playoffs because they wouldn't guarantee him a roster spot after he missed time with an infected tattoo wants an APOLOGY? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hold on let me catch my breath
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
After Spencer Jones was sent down for the first time, Aaron Judge pulled him aside privately — to remind him he has everything it takes to be a star for the Yankees.
He carried that encouragement with him into his 1st career HR last night.
