We owe those who serve the UK the kit to do the job and the loyalty to stand by them when it's done. We are failing on both.
I’ve spent my whole time in government making that case. Number 10 will not listen, so I am resigning as Minister for the Armed Forces.
Letter to the PM below.🫡🫡🫡⬇️⬇️
“British man”
I'm at a loss to understand why Essa Suleiman didn't have his British citizenship revoked and was summarily deported to Somalia after stabbing a policeman and his dog in 2008. Why do we harbour these terrorists? We are committing national suicide.
The official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — will stifle free speech.
It will deter people, including public officials, from speaking out about important issues such as grooming gangs and Islamist extremism.
This is a Muslim blasphemy law via the back door.
Watch the General Secretary of the Free Speech Union, Lord Young, on @TalkTV with @JuliaHB1.
The Government is reportedly just days away from publishing its official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hatred”.
This will not address genuine anti-Muslim hate. In fact, it could achieve the opposite by inflaming community tensions and stifling free speech.
The UK has a proud tradition of religious tolerance. As the Free Speech Union and the Equality and Human Rights Commission have repeatedly pointed out, we already have laws that protect all religions from discrimination and hatred. If the government were serious about tackling the problem, why not enforce the existing laws?
This definition risks reviving Britain’s blasphemy laws — only for Islam — 18 years after Parliament abolished them.
In a free society, no religion should be shielded from legitimate criticism.
What this definition will do is silence important conversations on issues such as the grooming gangs scandal and Islamist extremism.
We must not allow the government to reintroduce blasphemy laws via the back door.
In a world of news which shocks or disquiets me almost daily, to read of this happening in the UK is a cause of anguish, shame, and educational disgrace. There should be questions in Parliament. I want the headteacher and governing body to explain themselves. I want the Education Secretary to demand answers. It is intolerable that a state school can bar a Jewish MP from visiting in their own constituency simply because teachers object to the presence of a Jew. It is utterly, utterly outrageous.

Eliya Cohen survived 505 days in Hamas captivity. He was about to propose to his girlfriend Ziv before Hamas abducted him from the Death Shelter—and left her lying under dead bodies. He didn’t know if she survived. They just got engaged!💍
The voices of October 7: one of the most harrowing reports we ever aired on @N12News- conversations made on that dark day, of Israelis crying for help, and calling their loved ones to say goodbye. Please watch @zionnenko’s documentary:
@ICOnews please can you let me know if the following is acceptable: can a teacher suggest that, for a school homework app, a teenager shares their password with their parent, so that the parent can help support the teenager in managing homework? What regulations wld be related?
Either it is right to recognise a state called Palestine, or it isn't. To say you will recognise Palestine unless Israel fulfils certain conditions, without requiring Hamas to fulfil any conditions, is neither a legal nor a moral basis for such a state: it is vacuous politics.
It is also quite perverted politics. If Hamas releases the hostages, the war ends and Palestine is not recognised. But if Hamas continues to hold the hostages, the war continues and the UK gives them a state called Palestine.
Well done, Prime Minister.
Top-drawer diplomacy.
Hamas releasing hostages should be the first demand of all countries every time. The tweet below deserves to go viral - it explains clearly the problems with the statement of the Prime Minister.

Let’s be clear what just happened here.
International pressure on Israel encouraged Hamas to reject a ceasefire and get a “humanitarian pause” instead — without giving up a single hostage.
