My nephew Michael Hines was born with cerebral palsy. He came into this world with every strike against him, and yet he never had an unhappy day. He was a luminous soul, sent by God to teach us all how to live in gratitude and love.

He died a week before his 21st birthday in May 2024. His organs went to nine recipients and saved two lives, including the mother of an intellectually disabled child. His heart went to a nine-year-old boy.

After a lifetime of giving the gift of love, he died giving the gift of life.

🔥 YOUR ANGEL STAYS THROUGH THE FIRE 🔥

Your angel isn’t the one who only shows you the light when everything is easy.

Your angel is the one who refuses to leave your side when the fire is burning… when the weight feels unbearable… when you’re walking through the darkest parts of your own story and you barely recognize yourself anymore.

Anyone can love you in the sunshine. Anyone can celebrate you when you’re winning, smiling, strong, and easy to be around.

But the ones meant for your soul reveal themselves in the storm.

They sit beside you when there are no words. They remind you who you are when you’ve forgotten. They don’t try to save you from every fire… sometimes they simply walk through it with you so you don’t have to walk through it alone.

That’s when you discover who and what is real.

Not on the mountaintop, surrounded by applause… but down in the valley, when life has stripped everything else away and all that remains is truth.

Maybe that’s one of the ways heaven reaches us here.

Not always through miracles falling from the sky… but through the people who become our shelter when the storm comes.

The ones who look at us in our darkest hour and quietly say…

“I’m still here.”

Those are the angels we meet in human form.

The harm caused to patients by the Opioid Prescribing Guidelines when the opioid crisis was knowingly not an Rx crisis. They admitted they inflated Rx deaths. They admitted the guidelines were being misapplied. 7+ years after these admissions, they have doubled down. If people think what the Sacklers did was bad, they have done 100x worse by pushing Buprenorphine. Since the vilification of OxyContin, there have been tens of thousands more deaths every year. The “opioid crisis” is of their own making.
