So for the last six months I’ve been on a journey, to start giving some of my time to my local community.
This past weekend I became an SI, Sergeant Instructor for the Army Cadet Force. (The learning never stops).
Darren.
Michelle and I was on auntie and uncle duties today with our nephew Henry, our second time attending Shevington & District Community Fete, where we had a good few hours, the organisers should give themselves a pat on the back! Great day.
Darren.
Wishing His Majesty King Charles III, a very happy official birthday.
From the historic Lordships of Shevington and Standish.
I shall be enjoying the Trooping of the Colour with a good cup of tea from the comfort of my sofa.

Lord of Shevington and of Standish

@WiganCouncil#LightNightWigan did not disappoint, very well done! Not putting on too many of the images Michelle and I took, this is something you have to see in person.

EPiC HOPE will soon be opening a new Crisis Harbour in the Wigan Borough - offering extended hours and crucial support outside regular times.

Great relaxing weekend, finished Sunday off with an early evening carvery, that again I ate too much of!
I’d say I’d raise a glass of Port to your health, but I’m out of Port, so a good old cup of tea will have to do.
Have a great week ahead everyone.
Darren.
⚠️ A yellow weather warning for wind is in place from 4pm today (Tues) until 1pm tomorrow (Wed) #StormJocelyn
