@IncarnatedKarma Though surprised by their connected hands, she doesn’t pull away.
Her friend needs her, and in this moment, she gives his hand a soft squeeze, hoping to offer reassurance.
“What is it?” she whispers, loud enough only for him to hear.
@IncarnatedKarma Her eyes trail to his clenched fist, the girl’s brow furrowing out of concern.
Though hesitant, she slowly reaches out, laying her hand atop his which bears such a mark.
“Are you okay..?” she meekly asks, hoping she isn’t overstepping her bounds.
@IncarnatedKarma “You’re awfully persistent,” she mumbles, her cheeks now puffed at his kindness.
She finds herself growing flustered, the Uchiha, however, quickly able to mask it with a shift in expression.
A simple smile, a mixture of her father’s stoicism and her mother’s warmth.
@IncarnatedKarma Blinking at his gratitude, she waves him off, trying to hide the heat that rises to her cheeks.
“It’s okay, really! You don’t have to thank me. I’m enjoying myself, so thank /you/!”
@IncarnatedKarma She hums softly, her cheeks flush as she smiles.
“You’re welcome! It’s the least I could do for you since this was your idea.”
She takes a seat on a bench along the street, leaving space for him to rest beside her if he wanted to.
@IncarnatedKarma Trading her money for the taiyaki, Sarada voices her thanks to the woman who seems to wave the pair off, chuckling whimsically.
The ravenette turns to walk to the other side of the street, handing Kawaki his small cake as she does so.
“I’m glad,” she murmurs, visibly relaxing.
@IncarnatedKarma “I guess so,” she shrugs, not used to much else.
She watches him take in their surroundings, a somber weight on her shoulders.
“Must be different for you, huh? I hope it’s a good change of scenery.”
She turns to the woman, ordering two of the fish-shaped treats.
@IncarnatedKarma She grins, her cheeks dusted pink.
“Mama and I come by here when we go to the market. We’ve never stopped to try it though. I’ve wanted to, so this is the perfect chance!”
@IncarnatedKarma She guides him to a small stand, the elderly woman behind the counter greeting them with a wise grin.
“This is supposed to be a good spot,” she says, a hint of nervousness evident.
“I haven’t had it though.”
@IncarnatedKarma “Then let’s get some!”
Taking hold of his wrist, Sarada takes the lead and guides the pair into the village’s center, people milling about in the streets.
@IncarnatedKarma “Well...,” she thinks aloud, a finger resting lightly on her chin.
“What do you like? Any hobbies or foods that you really enjoy?”
She wanted to know more about him, his presence still shrouded in mystery.
@IncarnatedKarma “Yes..!”
With a quick nod, she passes the home’s threshold, closing the door in her wake.
She had dressed casually for once, her appearance a contrast to her usual shinobi attire.
“Thank you again for inviting me out. It’ll be nice to hang out!”
Her heart skips harshly as he steps closer, the ravenette trying her best to decipher this feeling in her chest.
“O-Okay..!”
She musters the courage to meet his gaze, her lips upturned in a friendly smile.
“That sounds nice..!”
“...!”
Her eyes visibly widen, lips pursed to keep her mouth from falling open.
Taking a moment to breathe, she carefully speaks.
“Make time for me..? That’s very kind of you, Kawaki..”
“I—I don’t know about all that,” she stutters, hands waving as she struggles to think clearly.
“Maybe I’ll just see if ChōChō wants to hang out. Or if everyone’s busy, I’ll just go train on my own.”
