I wonder where they find the courage. What part of their dark conscience allows them to look into their dog’s eyes, call him with a gentle voice, and say “let’s go for a ride,” knowing he will follow with a wagging tail full of trust and joy.

The dog climbs in, believing it is just another moment of love. He has no idea that the home he cherished, the ball he chased, and the yard where he felt safe are now gone forever. Then he is tied and left behind, abandoned to his fate, staring in confusion and heartbreak, unable to understand why the one he trusted most has walked away.

And I ask myself, what kind of human being is capable of such betrayal against a soul that only knew how to love unconditionally? 💔
