So many people want to be fascists, but they still want to seem like good people, so the challenge is finding a way to be authoritarian but for the "right cause". But it's still fascism.
@themarinadove Do we shoot our shot here or in your DMs? Also is there a form to fill out? Pardon me, I haven't done this before and don't want to mess up the paperwork!
POV: you go down the Kars4Kids rabbit hole and end up watching a video of orthodox Jews chasing the official mascot of the organization, Fiveish the 5 dollar bill, through the streets of Israel because they assumed it was an antisemitic prank.
I know you’re going to think this sounds fake but the mascot of Oorah, the Jewish group whose “Israel” junkets are funded by @Kars4kids, is an anthropomorphic stack of money named Fiveish
Drake (texting): What's yo favorite Crayola color
Millie Bobby Brown: Wild Watermelon
Drake: Damn they just letting anything be a crayon these days huh. Hahaaa. Hard for a guy like me to keep up
I hate when people at work ask you what books you are reading for professional development. I am reading books to counteract the effects of being professionally developed. I am reading books that bring me back to being human.
Hate to say it but this kind of thing underlines how China operates with a much more serious civilizational intent than the whole Western world in comparison.
Anthony hated how Americans viewed street food abroad and correctly pointed out that street vendors with daily lines of loyal patrons don't stay in business for years by giving everyone in their neighborhood food poisoning.
It might seem that I've been Missing in Action, but I continue to do my best, non-stop, for the Cause. I am hopeless but that's beside the point: the wise Confucius was once described as "one who knows it’s hopeless, but keeps trying anyway.” Here are two wonderful renditions of a timeless song (by the great Pete Seeger) about the horrors of war and the dignity in the refusal to go along with it. Marlene Dietrich was German, but she denounced the Nazi atrocities during World War 2 and publicly sided with the Allies. The Germans never forgave her, but in the hearts of free men and women, she will forever be honored. Would that today's Germans learn the real meaning of moral courage. The new college semester is just beginning. Hopefully, it will be marked by a new surge of courage as young people wrest back the right to free speech and defy university officials who, in return for a few gold coins, are colluding with Israel's genocide.
