Murders plummeted more than 20% from the year before, the single-largest one-year drop on record — and 2025's might be the lowest murder rate in the U.S. since 1900, a new study found. https://t.co/e9VlIsEzXN
@ESPNCFB@CFBPlayoff Bigotry is the excuse you were looking for @HunterYurachek Otherwise, you'd have penalized Alabama. Even then, Tech is probably the best team in the nation, so losing twice to them moves us down? Then, you invalidate your own weekly rankings by putting a #20 and #25 in there?
Objectively, how do you defend this:
Miami (10–2)
– ESPN SOS: 45
– ESPN SOR: 14
– Did not play for a conference championship
– Losses: Two 8–4 teams (SMU, Louisville)
BYU (11–2)
– ESPN SOS: 22
– ESPN SOR: 9
– Played in the Big 12 championship
– Losses: No. 4 Texas Tech on the road & in the Big 12 title game
Notre Dame (10–2)
– ESPN SOS: 44
– ESPN SOR: 13
– Did not play for a conference championship
– Losses: Miami (who lost to two 8–4 teams) & No. 7 Texas A&M
ESPN owns all broadcasting rights to the CFP.
All CFP money is paid by ESPN
ESPN owns all SEC broadcasting rights.
ESPN owns all ACC broadcasting rights.
ESPN isn’t the primary owner of B1G or Big 12 rights anymore.
ESPN doesn’t own primary Notre Dame broadcast rights.
Is anyone surprised ESPN managed to invest $20 million in its main product and found away to shun a more deserving Big 12 program and/or Notre Dame to invest $4 million in its ACC product instead?
Only $16 million to B1G and Big 12 where ESPN has minimal broadcasting rights compared to $32 million paid to ESPN owned conference rights.
Follow the money and it all makes sense.
Getting blown out in the Conference Championship matters for a Big 12 team like BYU, but doesn’t matter for an SEC like Alabama who had more losses and a bad loss to a 5-7 team? Unbelievable SEC bias.
It’s bigotry by the @CFBPlayoff committee, and by every commentator only talking about ND not making it. Oh, and ESPN has monetary interest in teams getting in is just a coincidence. 🙄
So remind me. It only counts when BYU gets blown out in the conference title game, but for Bama it doesn’t matter cause it’s an extra game for them? I think I got it now. 🙄. Make it make sense.
@AOC I still don't believe you. Nothing in my mail. Maybe post the proof, but then you'd have to tell people that the Affordable Care Act was only affordable due to subsidies, which is why it was forced through behind closed doors.
