[Taylor Renee Adami @AdamiRenee]

I don’t have a lot of followers, please retweet. I teach at a career center- computer science, Jrs & srs. ISO for individuals in the tech field who would be interested in guest speaking. Virtual is fine. I just want to have the students see and talk to people in various areas.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@AdamiRenee Happy to help! My background is in applied math with experience in ML, software engineering and tech product management.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae Congratulations!!!

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@LibyaLiberty Exactly! And somehow in the states so few places manage to get it right

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@LibyaLiberty Hahaha fair.

Also while we’re on fried eggplant - have you had the sandwich we call “sabich”? (Fried eggplant, egg, hummus, amba…)

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@LibyaLiberty Oh no. I was with you until “pita bread”. Why add “bread”, it’s just pita.

(Also fried eggplant in falafel is amazing)

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@LibyaLiberty What could possibly be more motivational. Also where.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@laurieontech I love this question.

My hardest debate was always “if” combined with “when”. When do we know we’re ready for the next thing?

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@vboykis *doing it wrong, that is. “Dad thats not how it goes”

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@vboykis Tried this with Pete the Cat (שאול החתול) and now my son tells me I’m doing it if I read the Hebrew version 😐

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae Funny you should say that: https://t.co/ziXsUE0HTE

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae Obviously I also strongly believe not all is about pay - I’m hoping that by looking around, people also value the things that are just as important as comp, such as team and culture.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae Having an honest discussion around “company X will pay me more” can lead to:
1. Us adjusting their pay if we can and feel like it’s merited
2. Us helping place that person at a place that’s a better fit, comp-wise

For me both are wins

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae For me teams are all about trust. If you encourage transparency and trust constantly (meetings, 1-1s and of course actions taken), I believe people will be honest about what they need / want.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@Noah_Abrahams Thankful for you responding to a stranger on the internets!

Very grateful to have you join us for this ride.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@engineering_bae I really love Kiwi CO’s boxes. My 3 yo and our friends’ 4 yo loved them, and they have different kits by age.

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]

@IanColdwater We (https://t.co/A6FOAIpKlF) are looking for someone to lead our Open Source strategy! (Focused on K8s / Cloud Native)

[ofer @Ofer_Idan]
