Mani, the under secretary in MHA, has written in his book “The Myth of Hindu Terror”, that when most of the senior officials of MHA were on a Pakistan visit in 2006, Mani was called in the cabin of Home Minister Shivraj Patil, where Digvijay Singh alongwith Hemant Karkare were already seated.

Karkare enquired from Mani about the recent terror attacks and what inputs Internal Security Division, MHA were receiving wrt those terror attacks. Mani spelt it out directly suggesting all inputs indicate toward Islamic terror links. Mani notes in his book that both Karkare & Digvijay were not happy to hear that and they kept on enquiring about any links to Bajrang Dal, particularly for Nanded case.

Karkare, an IPS officer from Maharashtra cadre, was having a cozy relation with ex-CM of Madhya Pradesh is suspicious. Also Karkare was at that tome posted in RAW (1999-2007/08). Why would a RAW official tag alonga politician to question an undersecretary in MHA.

Also, Josy Joseph in his book The Silent Coup” while glorifying Karkare, notes that it is difficult to say why he raptriated himself from RAW to state cadre to become Maharashtra ATS head replacing KP Raghuvanshi (Joseph depicts Raghuvanshi in somewhat negative light, as Raghuvanshi had arrested all muslims in relation to several terror attacks including Mumbai Train blast 2006).

So, why would Karkare, being in RAW, tag along Digvijay Singh to seek info on Bajrang Dal from MHA official, and repatriate himself to state cadre to become ATS head in 2008 and apprehends only Hindus for several terror blasts (Malegaon, Modada etc)? Why he only comes up with Abhinav Bharat or Sanatan Sanstha thesis for terror attacks, when dozens of terror attacks were being perpetrated by Indian Mujahiddin and other Muslim organisation.

Unfoetunately, we will not know these details as Karkare, alongwith Vijay Salaskar, died in 26/11 terror attack.

Mani’s one revelation of the meeting in HM office affords us to logically link several dots to arrive at the conclusion that “Hindu Terror” was a myth manufactured in the dark corridors of power.

Other countries are playing in a completely different league. Like Anthropic built the Ai-model so powerful that governments are discussing regulations and even bans. Just imagine where they'll be in the next few years.

Meanwhile, we're busy preparing for UPSC, government jobs, and if we talk about the tech side, it's mostly about fancy packages and moving abroad.

Everyone knows about that incident at Galgotias, so yeah, we are actually cooked.

Not many people are interested in building real products or pushing research. Even the government doesn't seem very serious about it.

So it's highly possible that we'll remain consumers rather than creators - using products built by other countries and continuously sharing our data with them.
