i think we (black people) should be able to talk about the self-esteem issues that comes along with growing up in an anti-black world. denying that is denying a very real reality that anti-blackness does mess with many black people’s self-image.

The world is quite backwards in how it responds to racist views as a result of internalised anti- blackness. It is your responsibility to pay attention to it but the common response is to treat it like a plague and not something that is a common black struggle
