#EllaBright has everyone fooled. As the undisputed star of the all American ice-hockey hit, Off Campus, with a faultless Boston accent, it would be easy to believe the actress was born in the USA.

When in actual fact, she was born and educated in London, getting her start in a BBC production of Malory Towers before playing a young Kate Middleton for another great British institution, The Crown. No wonder she has such a great sense of humour and perfect manners.

Introducing Tatler’s latest cover star: Ella Bright!

Just last summer, the actress was sitting her A-Levels in London. A year later, the 19-year-old is the breakout star of Prime Video’s ice hockey mega-hit, Off Campus, with a legion of global fans.

In Off Campus, Hannah Wells is a musical prodigy. Which prompted Ella Bright, determined to learn the guitar and piano virtually from scratch.

Now, she has her own Spotify artist profile where her rendition of Baby Now That I Found You, has clocked more than 30 million listens and when her cover of Cherry Pie landed on the streaming platform this month, fans didn’t just listen casually, they obsessively streamed in their millions.

First came Heated Rivalry, then Off Campus. Ice hockey dramas are hot right now – and no one knows this better than September cover star Ella Bright.

Off Campus, the Prime Video series based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling books became an instant global phenomenon when it dropped in May, reaching 36 million viewers in its first 12 days on air and becoming the streamer’s third-largest debut series ever. And Bright, who makes up one half of the central love story opposite brooding, sculpted heartthrob Belmont Cameli, is the undisputed star of the show.

Next up? She is poised to take the fashion world by storm.

‘It’s my first fashion show… thing… ever,’ she says ahead of her Paris Couture Week debut at the Dior show. ‘I don’t really know what’s going on, but I’m excited to figure it out.’
