@ChamberofFit If you widen your horizon to people who are fat (metabolically unhealthy), you'll see that hard calorie restriction works for them. But only for a couple of months. Slowly, their BMR goes down, and losing fat becomes very hard. CICO doesn't work for them.
@TheAlanAragon Interesting. Let's hope it gets applied :)
I find it hard to navigate dietary advice, mainly because there are so many conflicting statements, each backed by science. Like "red meat is bad" vs great. Or "CICO is the truth that rules everything" vs "calories don't matter".
@TheAlanAragon I'm reading your flexible dieting book right now. I love it so far!
I have read the first four chapters, and I noticed you don't mention a conflict of interest by the sponsors of studies. Is this something you consider while evaluating research?
@thecoachstefano@ChamberofFit I don't know. Saying someone to be consistent is not actionable I think. It sounds like a willpower thing that never works in the long run. For diet it is better to focus on eating in a way that e.g. increases satiety. IMHO :)
