Oh really?
Then WHO EXACTLY are these people standing with your party leaders?
@paulagnimitra1@RoopaSpeaks
And why were they campaigning for @BJP4India if they have nothing to do with the BJP ecosystem?
The @BJP4Bengal social media machinery seems to be working overtime to push the same FALSE NARRATIVE, completely ignoring the facts and developments that have emerged since.
The script is outdated.
The excuses are exhausted.
And the cover-up is collapsing! 🥱🍿
Yesterday, BJP supporters brutally attacked and lynched @AITCofficial Lok Sabha Floor Leader @abhishekaitc. The terrifying videos are in the public domain.
Today, our Chief Whip in Lok Sabha, @KBanerjee_AITC was also a victim of a planned BJP attack.
BJP murdering democracy.
The manner in which the Election Commission has singled out and targeted Bengal is not just unprecedented- It is deeply alarming. Even before the formal notification of elections, more than 50 senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, ADGs, IGs, DIGs, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been summarily and arbitrarily removed. This is not administrative action rather this is political interference of the highest order.
The systematic politicisation of institutions meant to remain impartial is a direct assault on the Constitution. At a time when a deeply flawed SIR process is underway and over 200 lives have already been lost, the conduct of the Commission reflects a clear bias and an uncomfortable submission to political interests, continuing to put the people of Bengal at risk.
Supplementary electoral rolls are still not published, in clear disregard of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directions, leaving citizens anxious and uncertain. Meanwhile, senior officers from critical agencies like IB, STF and CID are being selectively removed and dispatched out of the state, pointing to a calculated attempt to cripple Bengal’s administrative machinery.
Why is the BJP so desperate? Why this relentless targeting of Bengal and its people? What satisfaction do they derive from forcing citizens, even after 78 years of Independence, to stand in queues and prove their own citizenship?
The contradictions in the Commission’s actions expose its complete collapse of credibility. It claims that removed officers should not be assigned election duties, yet within hours, the same officers are sent out as election observers. The appointment of the Commissioners of Police of Siliguri and Bidhannagar as observers, without even putting replacements in place, left two vital urban centres effectively headless. It was only after this glaring lapse came to light that rushed corrections followed. This is not governance. It reflects chaos, confusion and sheer incompetence being passed off as authority.
This is not incidental, it points to a deliberate design to seize control of West Bengal through coercion and institutional manipulation. What we are witnessing is nothing short of an undeclared emergency and an unpromulgated form of president’s rule driven by political vendetta, not democratic principles.
Having failed to win the trust of Bengal’s people, the BJP is now attempting to capture the state through coercion, intimidation, manipulation and the misuse of institutions.
I stand in complete solidarity with every officer of the Government of West Bengal and their families, who are being targeted simply for serving the state with honesty and commitment. Bengal has never bowed to intimidation and it never will.
Bengal will fight, Bengal will resist and Bengal will decisively defeat every attempt to impose a divisive and destructive agenda on its soil.
Proud to share that the United Nations has recognized our initiative yet again. The Food and Agriculture Organization of UN has awarded internationally valued certificate to us for our community initiatives in our innovative 'Matir Srishti' programme which we had launched in 2020 in our dry western (Paschimanchal) districts.
Now, this creative and multi-departmental concept has received UN recognition of being a worthy community initiative in the category of preservation of natural heritage and bio-diversity.
In the 'Matir Shristi' initiative, we have crafted a unique vision that integrates strategies regarding land, irrigation and panchayats. The vision has been to make barren, non-arable, dry, mono-crop lands finally fertile and cultivable for growing multiple crops including horticulture and vegetable cultivation. Additional irrigation facilities have been provided by creating new irrigation facilities like ponds and other irrigation sources. Lakhs of livelihood opportunities have been created, family incomes have increased manifold.
I am further happy to inform that United Nations (FAO) has also recognised West Bengal’s famed Gobindbhog, Tulaipianji and Kanakchur Aromatic rice as food & culture heritage.
I am sharing Certificates of Recognition received from the Director General of FAO of United Nations.
UN-FAO recognition of these initiatives is a prestigious honour for globally recognised good works to conserve natural heritage, bio-diversity and food & culture heritage.
We dedicate this recognition to our entire rural community, especially the farmers of Bengal.

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love in all its forms and manifestations, in its widest and noblest sense; love that transcends caste, creed, class and religion.
It is this spirit of love that has guided my journey in public service. A love for the people strong enough to withstand storms, patient enough to listen, and bold enough to fight for justice and dignity.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I thank Hon'ble Finance Minister @nsitharaman for so carefully listening to my speech. Though I wish she'd listen as carefully to the people of Bengal when they ask for their MGNREGA, PMAY, PMGSY and JJM dues. The Finance Minister says I 'twisted facts.' Let me untwist them for her.
She's absolutely right, there's no GST on fresh liquid milk. But perhaps she hasn't seen the mother who can't afford fresh milk, who stretches her budget by mixing powdered milk for her infant. That powdered milk? 5% GST. Zero tax on what she can't buy, 5% tax on what she's forced to buy.
She's correct again, textbooks have no GST. But the graph paper a student uses for his/her math assignment? 12% GST. The laboratory notebook for the science practical? 12% GST. The crayons for the drawing class? 12% GST.
On healthcare, she's technically accurate as always; consultation and treatment are GST-free. But the oxygen cylinder that keeps a COVID patient alive? 12% GST. The insulin injection that prevents a diabetic from dying? 5% GST. The anesthesia for the surgery? 12% GST.
And yes, funeral services are exempt. But the agarbatti we light for our departed? 5% GST. EVEN GRIEF HAS A PRICE TAG IN ‘NEW INDIA.’
This, Honourable Finance Minister, is EXACTLY the problem I was highlighting. Until you understand the difference between what's written in the GST Act and what's written on a poor family's grocery bill, you'll keep living in your India while we live in ours. Thank you for proving my point better than I ever could.
A resounding victory for democracy. A decisive triumph for the people of Bengal.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court has affirmed that EROs alone will exercise final authority on document verification, reducing micro-observers to a strictly assistive role, and directing that 8,505 Bengal officials be tagged to support the SIR process.
Crucially, the Court has also mandated that all documents issued by competent authorities must be accepted. Most damningly, the Apex Court has questioned the very software tools deployed by the Election Commission, noting how they erased natural variations and triggered unjustified notices against genuine voters.
Those who sought to weaponise institutions against the people stand exposed, in law, in principle, and before the nation.
In the Supreme Court, Smt. @mamataofficial spoke about a simple question Bengal has been asking for months: why are the rules different here?
Across the country, domicile certificates, family records, caste certificates are accepted. Only in Bengal, suddenly, nothing is enough. Only here are ordinary people being dragged into hearings and made to doubt their own identity pushing them to take their lives.
Her voice broke when she spoke of the cost of the rigged SIR. Over a hundred deaths. BLOs pushed beyond limits. Suicide notes that named the Election Commission and the Chief Electoral Officer. How long will they continue without any ounce of accountability?
Her plea was a reminder that democracy cannot survive when procedure forgets humanity.
Standing up for the people, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached the Supreme Court.
Today will stand as an example before the entire nation and the world.

Another crushing defeat for the BOHIRAGOTO BANGLA-BIRODHI ZAMINDARS.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court today dismissed the Central Government’s plea challenging the Calcutta High Court’s order directing the resumption of MGNREGA in Bengal. This is a HISTORIC VICTORY for the people of Bengal, who refused to bow down before Delhi’s ARROGANCE and INJUSTICE.
When they failed to defeat us politically, BJP weaponised deprivation. They imposed an ECONOMIC BLOCKADE on Bengal, snatching away the wages of the poor and punishing the people for standing by Maa, Mati, Manush. But Bengal does not yield. We promised to fight for every rightful rupee, every honest worker, every silenced voice.
Today’s verdict is a democratic slap on the face of those who believed Bengal could be bullied, coerced, or silenced. BJP’s arrogance has met its reckoning. They seek power without accountability. They take from Bengal, yet refuse to return her dues. But now, they've been defeated in PEOPLE'S VOTE, and in the SUPREME COURT.
As I’ve said before, and I will say again:
