If he had the will to live and someone to live for, why didn’t he fight back against the murderer? There are only two possibilities: Kerry was the person he lived for, and when he saw she wanted to kill him, he lost his will to live and just accepted death without a fight. 5/5
@SarcasticNerdzz For all of you lot saying John doesn’t know you. Here’s John and me, we stood right here at Hal the hero’s funeral. John and I, even the squirrel showed up.
Kerry in Lanterns:
- A cop in rural Nebraska
- Arrested a black man for defending himself from being jumped
- Shot and murdered an unarmed man at the thought of having to move to Mexico

“I love you too, Junior…”
“Maybe it was just easier to fly than it was to stay on the ground. I hope I mattered…”
“Man i’m not fearless ’cause I’m brave. I’m fearless ’cause I’m broken…”
“They called it The Jordan Boys Legacy…”
I would love any insights others might have to understand this scene. Maybe I am missing something, and I welcome all thoughts and opinions that might help me understand this question. 4/4
I loved the season finale and the whole show. Personally, probably one of the best things I have seen in recent years since Arcane. The only thing I am struggling with, or still don’t understand, is the way they wrote the scene in which Kerry killed Hal. 1/4 #Lanterns#DC
He just said he wanted to protect everyone’s lives. There were no immediate threats made to Noah’s life. I struggle to understand how just the thought of moving and uprooting their life can cause enough panic to shoot a loved one. 3/4
Last night's finale of Lanterns is a rich study into:
Nature vs. nurture
Teacher vs. student
What part of ourselves are our choices
What do with power we've been given
That will unfortunately be forgotten because it had no giant green lasers or goofy aliens.
