Today, the School officially received the newly appointed Deputy Chief, Estates and Works Unit, Eng. Roselyne Nagaba Mawanda.
During the handover ceremony, the outgoing Deputy Chief, Estates and Works Unit, Eng. Isaac Mukiibi, formally handed over office to Eng. Mawanda. She was received by the School Secretary and the Human Resource Office, who welcomed her to the MUBS community and wished her success in her new role.

Today, I joined the @OfficialMubs Muslim Community, to celebrate the remarkable legacy and bid farewell to Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa who has faithfully served our great institution for over 20 years as the school Imam.
His unwavering commitment to faith, humility, integrity, and service has strengthened our community, nurtured generations of students and staff, and fostered unity, peace, and moral leadership at MUBS. We are deeply grateful for his invaluable contribution and pray for abundant blessings, and success in the next chapter of his service.

He noted that residential engagements provide an enabling environment for focused technical discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and peer learning, while fostering teamwork, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to the School’s strategic objectives. He further emphasized the need for adequate operational support to enhance the effective delivery of academic programmes and reaffirmed MUBS’ commitment to producing competent, innovative, and industry-ready graduates.

Prof. Moses Muhwezi, described Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa as a humble, principled, and exceptional leader whose wisdom, integrity, and management skills have significantly contributed to the growth and transformation of the School.
He noted that for over 20 years, Sheikh Waiswa has served as a father figure to the MUBS community, promoting faith, unity, peace, and institutional development. Through his guidance and mediation, he has resolved numerous conflicts and fostered a harmonious and progressive work environment.
@ProfMuhwezi emphasized the important role religious leaders play within institutions, noting that they strengthen ethical leadership, social cohesion, and organizational development. He also commended the MUBS leadership and the Mosque Board for their unwavering support to Sheikh Waiswa throughout his service to the School.

The official handover ceremony of the Faculty of Graduate Research Studies @MUBSFGSR was held today during the 31st Higher Degrees Committee meeting. In her remarks, Deputy Principal Prof. @rachelmindra commended Prof. Vincent Bagire for his dedicated service and exemplary leadership, appreciated the Principal for mobilizing resources and acknowledged the School’s partners for their continued support. She also officially welcomed Assoc. MUBS today held a Strategic Plan Ambassadors Orientation and Empowerment Session to equip staff with a deeper understanding of the Strategic Plan, reporting framework, and their role in ensuring its successful implementation.
Speaking at the session, Principal @ProfMuhwezi urged staff to embrace the Strategic Plan with commitment, noting that just as individuals have personal plans and goals, institutional plans can only succeed when activities are implemented at the right time and in the right way. He further encouraged staff to love their work, support students , and contribute actively towards achieving the School’s strategic objectives.

Today, MUBS hosted a delegation from the @ugandacanberra , led by Ms. Tisa Mugwanya, Counsellor for Tourism and Culture, to explore opportunities for strengthening Uganda’s tourism narrative and enhancing the country’s visibility.
Discussions focused on potential collaboration in research, student exchange programmes, tourism promotion, and prospects for an MoU to support knowledge exchange and institutional cooperation.
The Principal of MUBS, @ProfMuhwezi , emphasized the importance of the partnership in advancing tourism development and internationalization, noting that it presents valuable opportunities for research collaboration, global exposure, and student development.
