Thanks @OfficialMelB for raising awareness of the devastating impact of economic abuse and showing that there is life after abuse 🙌

A judge who hasn’t bothered to understand the dynamics of abuse only sees the surface level.
A parent who is too distraught to speak with clarity or think straight is automatically crazy or a liar rather than a victim-survivor.
It’s unacceptable.

@odvss@people Health and justice inequalities for WOC are atrocious. Sector after sector, the same thing. So if a WOC is fortunate enough to have her abuse case come before a judge, adding their bias', there is zero chance of justice or safeguarding if it is the family court.
We feel your stress. We've found that litigants in person face this constantly. So if something is clearly wrong, and where post-separation abuse is involved, usually litigation abuse, i.e. bundle corruption, then it is near impossible to inform someone, let alone have it rectified before they stand in front of a judge who takes great delight in ignoring them because they do not have counsel.
@paullavellefoun When people are in or leaving abusive situations, support is so important. That's why organisations are vital. The help you offer is immeasurable. Keep up the good work.
