10 years ago, I learned in a Development Communication class that if a government sacrifices human/capital development on the altar of infrastructural development, the infrastructure will suffer in the hands of the people.
Ten years later, the theory still works.
I have been privileged to work across over 20 countries including the United States and UK as a Gen Z. In many rooms I have been in, I was the youngest person.
So I can tell you, the greatest skill you need in your corner is not your certificate, but the ability to work across cultures and systems.
The fact that the 76-year old CEO in my workplace 3 streets away from the White House asked me to call him by his first name Damon doesn’t mean I should come back to Nigeria and call Dr. Oby Ezekwesili by her first name.
It’s lack of social intelligence. When you are in Rome, you behave like a Roman. Adapt quickly or be left behind.
@SuperSlimEli There’s nothing special about this… We’ve seen this a number of times… It’s just not as exciting as live drums. This seems new to you because you’re not in the music space.
@Fmohnigeria Great initiative… but I’m also trying to understand the second photo used. Seems like an AI-generated image. Since this is an official govt platform, it would make sense to get it checked.
May you never get so busy building a great life that you forget to live life with the people who matter.
May your dreams, goals, and responsibilities never make you unavailable to the people who love you and the people who need you. 🤍
Happy Friday
My mums life put so much in perspective for me about what to prioritize because of how short life is.
I remember going to clear her house after she died and she had so many certificates masters degrees, degrees, short trainings, etc. inside her safe. So many letters and things she did not complete because of time.
That’s when I decided to just focus on what I enjoy instead of continuing my PhD. Will go back to it when I am content that I have chased my dreams.
Congratulations, to EPHI… In my work supporting health security systems in Ethiopia, I’ve seen first-hand the strength of the PHEM system managed by EPHI.
Proud to have contributed by editing Ethiopia’s analysis of gender gaps in legal instruments for health security.
@aproko_doctor It's been so hard to accept that my elder sister, my only sister, is dead... Lassa Fever took Salome away from us. Exactly one week today, I've still not been able to completely accept our new reality. Lassa fever is deadly, it also kills very, very quickly...

FOUR DAYS TO KOINONIA RESUMPTION 🚀
Precious Saints,
Koinonia resumes powerfully THIS SUNDAY, the 18TH of JANUARY, and we prepare to step boldly into the divine agenda of God for 2026 “The Year of Deliverance and Exemption”.
“Thus saith the Lord, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.” — Isaiah 65:8 (KJV)
In 4 days, we gather at the altar of His presence to receive light, clarity, and direction for the new year.
Do not miss what God has prepared for you. Remind your friends and loved ones!
Come with faith. Be highly expectant.
Welcome to the Year of Deliverance and Exemption.

Blessings to you all our precious Koinonia Global Family,
Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As we review the journey of the year 2025, my heart is filled with gratitude to God and to every one of you who laboured, stood, prayed, gave, served, partnered, and believed with us. Truly, “This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.”
Across cities and nations; Abuja, Zaria, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and beyond, we witnessed the mighty hand of God at work. From overflowing gatherings to teachings that illuminated hearts, from intense moments of worship to meetings that strengthened us, from structured excellence to undeniable manifestations of God’s presence, Jesus Christ remains glorified.
Through all our Koinonia services; The General Assembly (TGA) / Koinonia Convention Conference, School of Ministry (KSOM), Come Up Hither gatherings, Workers’ meetings, Sunday services, and Special apostolic expressions across nations, countless lives were saved, healed, restored, instructed, and positioned for destiny. The Word of God was fulfilled, prayers ascended continually, and a global harvest was reaped to the glory of God.
To our leaders, ministers, workers, volunteers, friends, partners, givers, the body of Christ, and our ever-growing global online family, thank you for your loyalty, sacrifice, consistency, and love for the vision. Your labour was not in vain, and heaven bears witness to your commitment. Together, we have been privileged to reveal Jesus Christ and advance His Kingdom across the nations.
As we look ahead with faith and expectation, I am confident that The Lord will yet do greater and mightier things through us as we remain yielded, obedient, and steadfast in love for Him.
Thank you for standing with us.
Thank you for partnering with heaven.
Thank you for being instruments in God’s hands.
Thank you for being part of this Apostolic and Prophetic mandate.
Thank you for a great Kingdom Impact together in 2025.
God Bless You!
With all my love and blessings,
Apostle Joshua Selman
