UPDATE ON THE LA HELICOPTER CRASH

It comes down level and much too fast.
When the engine quits, a pilot uses autorotation, letting the air keep the blades spinning so he can set it down. That takes altitude, and this helicopter was under 1,000 feet above the ground.
Six days earlier, the FAA warned that an engine flange installed backwards on Airbus AS350s could cut the power going from the engine to the rotor. That bulletin covers more than 4,000 helicopters built before 2023.
The NTSB says a warning siren can be heard on the station's own video seconds before the fall, and the sound is consistent with the engine stalling.

Three people are dead after a helicopter went down in a fiery crash Tuesday evening Chatsworth. per LAFD officials.
The helicopter was confirmed by BNO that it was a KNBC chopper. One of the victims was killed on the ground, while two were aboard. (via: @CitizenAppLA

Police are investigating a shooting at a Wendy's in Panorama City, California, and are searching for a male suspect last seen wearing a black bandana and hoodie.
Additional units have been requested to assist in the search and review surveillance footage.
