๐จ ATTENTION: Emotional plea from the wife of Mr Zacheaus Olatunde, one of the teachers abducted from community High School Ahoro Esinle, in Orire Local Government Area Oyo State.
Today make it one month since they were kidnapped. Please don't forget them in the bush, I am begging the Federal and State Government to have mercy on us and do everything possible to secure there release. Baba Soun, please help us speak to the authorities. I am alone with the children, and they keep asking about there daddy.
๐จBREAKING: The Minister of Defence has finally acknowledged that Nigerians are protesting.
However, instead of the government addressing the reasons behind the protests and responding to the concerns being raised, the focus seems to be on telling citizens how to protest and warning that the demonstrations could be hijacked.
On one hand, they say people have the constitutional right to protest. On the other hand, their statements make it sound as though exercising that right is something to be feared.
At this point, it's difficult not to be concerned. Many Nigerians simply want their voices heard and their grievances addressed. Rather than focusing solely on the risks of protest, citizens expect meaningful engagement with the issues that brought them to the streets in the first place.
Honestly, looking at everything happening, I'm increasingly confused about the direction my country, Nigeria, is taking. ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ค
