The greatest tragedy is not that a believer stumbled. The greatest tragedy is rejecting the only One who can save. Salvation has always been in a Person, not in human performance.
So don’t put your confidence in how well you’re holding on to God. Put your confidence in how faithfully God is holding on to you.
He saved you by grace. He keeps you by grace. And His finished work is still enough.
From your brother, Neon Adejo
If God could speak the universe into existence with, “Let there be,” and it still stands today, do you really think He is not powerful enough to keep those who belong to Him?
When you stumble, don’t do what Adam did by hiding from God (Genesis 3:8–10). Run to Him instead. Children don’t stop being children because they fell while learning to walk. They run back to their father, and he lifts them up.
That’s exactly what our heavenly Father does.
The more you behold Him, the more His life is expressed through you (2 Corinthians 3:18). Just as the Israelites looked at the bronze serpent and were healed (Numbers 21:8–9; John 3:14–15), we keep looking to Jesus. The more you see His love, His grace, and His finished work, the more your life is transformed. This is why the Bible says, “It is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
The Holy Spirit is not living inside you just to occupy space. He is actively working in you, changing your desires, shaping your heart, correcting you, and producing the life of Christ in you.
Notice it doesn’t say you’re trying to become righteous. It says that in Christ, you have become the righteousness of God. The cross happened over two thousand years ago, yet it is still saving people today. If the Lord tarries until 2030, 2050, or beyond, the same blood will still be enough for everyone who believes. That’s how complete His sacrifice is.
So instead of waking up every day wondering if God still loves you, wake up remembering what Christ already did for you. Don’t spend your Christian life being sin-conscious. Be Christ-conscious.
If the sacrifice was acceptable, the worshipper was accepted. That was only a shadow pointing to Jesus.
Today, when you come to God, your confidence is not in how well you’ve behaved this week. Your confidence is in the perfect Lamb who speaks for you. Jesus is the sacrifice God approved once and for all (Hebrews 9:12–14).
The Bible says, “He made Him who knew no sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
If a believer commits fraud, steals, or breaks the law, Christ’s forgiveness doesn’t cancel the consequences of that action. The police will still arrest you. The court can still sentence you. You may be forgiven by God, but you could be serving that sentence in prison. Forgiveness before God does not remove earthly responsibility.
Now let’s go deeper.
Under the Old Testament, the people brought spotless animals as sacrifices for sin. The interesting part is this: the priest didn’t inspect the person who brought the sacrifice first, he inspected the sacrifice. Was the lamb without blemish?
Let me explain “ONE SAVED, FOREVER SAVED” as simply as I can.
Jesus died once. That sacrifice was enough. He is not coming back to die again because He already finished the work (Hebrews 10:10–14; John 19:30). Think about that for a moment.
If His sacrifice wasn’t enough to completely save you, then He would have to keep dying every time you sinned. But He doesn’t. Why? Because one perfect sacrifice settled it forever.
Now, does that mean you should go and live anyhow? Of course not. Grace is not permission to sin (Romans 6:1–2). Wrong doing still has consequences.
Lord in this nation, restore peace within our borders and frustrate the plans of the wicked so that their hands cannot perform their evil in Jesus name. 🙏
Kevin James dropped a powerful reminder about prayer and God.
He said if you look back at all the things you once prayed desperately about, they all got taken care of, maybe not exactly how you wanted, but in a better way. The things that once kept you up at night aren’t even worries anymore.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds.” - Philippians 4:6-7
