One of the most documented lightning bolts? I captured this in 4K at 120 fps from inside my car just north of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, on 4/26. The strike was so close I felt gravel hit my arm, and moments later I saw the road on fire.

Not long after, other storm chasers started reaching out about the bolt. I later got to see the same strike from the car behind me, captured by @300MphEF5, along with an incredible high-resolution photo from @Healey_Photo.

This was from the same storm that produced the twin tornadoes near Foraker just before.

The disrespect of women in this community is indeed sad.

Over the years, when Chelsea and I are sitting somewhere, there have been dozens of chasers (men) who come up to say hi to me and completely ignore her, like blatantly. Noone is asking for a red carpet welcome, but some of you cant even be bothered to simply smile and say hi back.

Its pathetic. Its been bugging me for a couple years but Ive kept my mouth shut until now.

If this is who you are as a person, dont even bother saying hi to me.

@AdamLucioWX @tknep3 I’ve been told it happens either bc they are trying to “be respectful” or because they are socially awkward. It sucks regardless. I still remember the excitement when certain chasers would finally just acknowledge my existence, let alone talk to me. Thanks for bringing it up🙏
