Here’s one rule from the money layer. We never use decimals, because computers round them wrong and small errors pile up until money quietly goes missing.

Instead we count in whole units, like counting cents instead of dollars, and we always round down. So your balance is always exact, and nobody can ever spend money that isn’t really there.
