@gazeoftrauma “I climb I climb up to you!!“ Yelena called out seeing Natasha climbing down towards her and she’s quick to get as high as she can —- almost slipping and falling but got her grip back on the tree.
“Look Tasha we are monkeys!” The blonde giggled and swung from the tree.
“No no I want to climb the tree like you Tasha!” Yelena called out and small hands gripped the tree and she’s slowly making her way up the tree.
“You are high up I want high!”
Natasha bangs her head repeatedly against the main part of the tree. Why does Yelena has to copy every little move she does?
“Get down, Yelena. Don’t make me call mama out there.”
Yelena frowned and hugged her sister. She didn’t mean for Natasha to get into trouble.
“Momma doesn’t hate you she loves us !! And okay I promise I won’t tattle.”
Nat doesn’t have the patience it would take to explain that comics aren’t the same as regular books. So, she simply nods to appease the smaller girl.
“Only if you promise to stop tattling so much. Mama already hates me enough without your help.”
Yelena was about to reach for the colourful book but stopped when her sister told her not to touch.
“Will you read some to me tomorrow?? Pleaeeeeee.” Yelena snuggled into her sister with her doll and got under the blankets.
She’ll never admit it aloud, but Natasha enjoys their sleepovers too. Even though she shouldn’t be getting so attached. They could very well be given back tomorrow or the next day.
“It’s for big kids. Don’t touch it.” She warns, turning off the lamp.
And she’s running over to the bed and climbing up with her back feet kicking on the bed and she’s smiling at her sister. She loved their sleepovers.
“What are you reading Tasha?” Yelena noticed the comic books.
She has to bite her tongue to keep from lashing out. It’s not Yelena’s fault that she feels neglected — not really.
“Come on then.” She scoots over and pats the spot made for her sister. Her comic book having been moved to the bedside table.
“Had a bad dream…” she whispered, keeping her distance from her sister but she wanted to get into bed with her.
“Momma is sleeping and I’m scared.” Yelena has tears in her eyes.
