Totally. Disproportional reaction from Media and Govt alike. What are they hiding to fight this so hard? You could decide to totally let it fly and it would have been… no news at all. Thanks for making the protest even more powerful Starmer et al.
Around 400 Palestinians, including dozens of children, have been killed while trying to get humanitarian assistance. I don’t recall these incidents (including this weekend) leading many papers or news bulletins. Are we really saying a few chants from a couple of musicians is more newsworthy or important? We have lost our bearings …
Very well thought-out piece with which O spookily share almost every aspects of the back story (I wasn’t born in wine) as well as the strategy.
Every day has its checks and safeguards and they’re not failproof.
Today, we celebrate the second edition of the Wine in Moderation Day, inviting the trade to talk about the importance of moderation in our everyday lives.
So I decided to give it a -very-personal go: https://t.co/BUGenIcahv

Watch this it’s fascinating - I asked James Timpson what he’d do about prisons and sentencing if he was in charge. He believes only a third of prisoners in jail should definitely be there. He’s now in charge of prisons (but not sentencing).
@maitlis Terrible game from Macron whichever way you look at it. The majority of voters are still pissed off at him. He’s killed the centre left and the centre right… and what for? Look where that got him. RN doesn’t wine but no one else does either.
We are so dependent on @UKLabour and @Keir_Starmer to learn the hard, true lessons of this vote and apply the right programme of policies. The responsibility has seldom been so great.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but Labour's vote share is smaller than Conservative and Reform combined. That's not going to be easy to square.
@TheAudioWorks@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret Jo is telling me if it wasn’t for Rory and Alistair she’d go to ITV too. They’re not participating enough compared to these horrible people
How does it feel to be surrounded by these “illustrious” politicians @RoryStewartUK and @campbellclaret ? Widdicombe, Dories, Zahawi, Kwarteng… doesn’t quite provide enlightened commentary. #C4BritainDecides
And while I’m here, your pal Macron has chié dans la colle, since much before this call for an election. Suffering from the same type of hubris our own Tories have here. Arrogance, petulance, cronyism… ineffectual. And we wonder why voters look elsewhere. The Centre failed.
One for @campbellclaret as per today’s pod. Bernard Tapie (not a flawless man by all accounts) nailed the right wing movement then, and best I can see, it still holds today. This is what’s been happening in France every election, increasingly, since the 90s.
