@HUMBLE_ISMHO@tech_twi Ah but did you read what he wrote? He said the fuel would’ve been cheap had we not signed some deals exporting 80% of it. He wasn’t the one who signed that deal so why the insult? Bro?
@skinnyrabbito@RealDrErnestt@ugmc Something that is state funded should not equal low quality of service. This happens in Africa , but you’d find In countries with leaders that care about them that you can actually have a functioning hospital where bills don’t cost an arm and a leg for diagnosis
@skinnyrabbito@RealDrErnestt@ugmc The Ghanaians mind cannot comprehend state of the art facilities that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. This is El Salvador: https://t.co/Ud0n89xn8K
Have you considered why nhis claims are always late but salaries of government officials are never delayed?
The best hospital in Central America.
With every medical specialty, the most advanced technology in the world, and top-quality care.
Public. Dignified. Free. For everyone.
@skinnyrabbito@RealDrErnestt@ugmc Those are clothes which are luxury items which is fine. But this is healthcare, public healthcare facility for that matter. Unless you want to tell us that is also a luxury. State of the art healthcare should not only be accessible to a few in a functioning country
@__fadden You know what I agree with you, why don’t we call this something like “sanitation levy” and have them pay it every month. Then let’s use the money to hire people to take of waste outside. Oh yeah 😂we already have that and what was the money used for???????
@TelecelGhana If you guys can’t monitor and discover incidents then what are you doing? Then every Friday between 6-10pm your internet just doesn’t work anymore
we thought certification was the main fight.
turns out the bill isn't even where it starts.
currently, under existing law:
1. a mobile app developer pays GH₵6,000 to register. GH₵5,000 every year after.
2. you run a small online shop and built your own website for orders. GH₵10,000 to register then 1% of every transaction after that. not profit. every transaction.

Are you aware that if the drafted #NITABILL2025 is passed in its current form, Ghana’s One Million Coders initiative could become almost pointless?
Because after training people to code, where exactly do we expect them to practice and experiment?

tech is the only professional field where a 19-year-old in kumasi can teach herself to code, build a product, find a client in berlin, and earn in dollars. no certificate from anyone.
that self-determination is not a gap in the system. it is the system. it is why ghana has a tech ecosystem at all.
when government certification becomes a prerequisite to work, two things happen:
brain drain accelerates.
meta just cut 8,000 jobs globally and moved 7,000 more into AI workflows. african developers are being positioned to absorb global opportunity right now. a licensing barrier at home does not raise standards. it raises the cost of staying.
self-employment dies at the root.
the freelancer, the solo founder, the developer building on weekends are not collateral damage. they are the pipeline. requiring certification before anyone can hire them attacks the entry point of the entire ecosystem.
@NITAGhana what problem is this actually solving?
A community in Okanta, located in the Suhum area of the Eastern Region, is being forcefully displaced by a group of individuals who want to engage in illegal mining.
I reached out to a member who resides in the community, and she explained that multiple reports were allegedly filed at the Suhum Police Station and again at a station in Koforidua, yet nothing meaningful has come out of these complaints.
The District Chief Executive responsible for the area was also contacted, she claims, but despite these efforts, the community continues to face harassment and persistent threats from these individuals.
The individual who exposed what was happening claims she’s facing death threats and harassment from unknown callers. Several residential buildings were allegedly burnt to forcibly displace community members. This situation raises serious questions about our fight against illegal mining. We ask communities to report and fight galamsey yet when they do they’re not protected nor are they helped. They need our help. #StopGalamseyNow @barkervogues@ArmahKofiBuah@JDMahama
