@WhistleblowingT My school won’t designate PPA on timetables as it’s “too restrictive” when using staff for cover. Staff get cover most weeks in one of their frees, and do a 1 hour lunch duty in another if they’re unlucky enough to have a free when split lunches are on at the same time.

@WhistleblowingT No one should be guilt tripped into losing 4 days pay - hundreds of pounds for most, which I bet for the vast majority the hardship fund wouldn’t cover. I fully support the decision of my colleagues to choose to work. It’s their business and theirs alone.

@WhistleblowingT Several of my NEU colleagues not striking, mainly as they have families and can’t lose a days pay. Entirely a personal decision, no one should feel obliged to strike. People should respect their colleague’s decision as personal to them.

@WhistleblowingT Asking staff to use their personal phone in the classroom leaves them at risk of having it stolen or damaged. Schools should provide staff with an alternative way of 2FA, especially when their policy is that staff shouldn’t have personal devices visible in lessons..

@KirstieMAllsopp Not much difference, many pupils don’t complete HW and many teachers already set tasks that don’t need marking because they already don’t have capacity to mark homework as well as planning lessons and marking classwork and / or assessments.

@JuliaHB1 “Teachers were the ones who voted” in so many replies - 90% of only 52% of members voted to strike, so that’s less than half the membership. So over half this union’s membership haven’t voted to strike, and many others not in unions or in other unions haven’t either!

Really impressed by @KLM for their handling of our Kigali flight cancellation in July. Cabin crew were excellent, hotel and food vouchers organised efficiently and an easy online compensation claim process which we’ve been very happy with the outcome of.

@andie1105 Completely agree, recently the media was reporting that people were “having to resort” to hanging their washing outside on clothes lines to dry instead of using their tumble dryer. If this is peoples idea of struggling they need to get a grip and stop complaining.

@keaneandrose @LeedsCC_News I agree, but given the food stalls etc a lot of people would pay too I think. I certainly would. Bolton Abbey previously charged £10 per person for its fireworks and was always packed despite the fact they’d be visible from the road outside for free.

@AQA @MrsValverdeMFL You suggested this to me yesterday, I did it only for you to reply telling me to phone customer services! I can now access centre services but like others are saying, we still can’t download data reports and half our candidates are missing so it’s useless!

Hi @AQA you’re telling people to ask exams officer to give permission to see results on centre services but even our exams officer can’t access them on it and gets the same “service not available” message! We need to be able to see students marks!

@KLM After 5+ hours sat on plane while you tried to fix smoke billowing from an engine our flight to Kigali on 27th July was eventually delayed by 24 hours. Not impressed by response to our compensation claim saying no compensation is due because flight arrived on time?!

@LBIAirport really poor service with bag delivery, 55 minute flight from Amsterdam, over and hour waiting and no sign of bags. No staff in sight to offer explanation or apology other than the poor Border Security staff trying to get information for passengers.

@Tom_Sanderson8 @KLM Not sure if it’s the reason for your delay but we were due to fly KLM from Amsterdam to Kigali today then the plane was flying on to Entebbe. Sat for 4 hours on plane with one fault after another until we were offloaded and told the flight was being moved to same time tomorrow.
