He is mostly feeling out the situation btwn them to see if mel has the power over becca's situation to actually do some thing to change it/stop it or if she is just crashing out and can't do anything without becca's consent
Langdon asked this because mel has mentioned several times that she is becca's primary caretaker. Btwn that and becca living in a facility it's not a far jump to assume that the parents are not around/dead/are not legally responsible for becca but that she needs someone to be
Also, it is not totally uncommon for people living in care facilities to have a family member as a legal guardian who can make decisions for them that they may not be able to, especially in regards to advocating for what they need.
i’ve never been in love but i’ve heard a lot about it and like the sound of it. big fan of the concept. not sure i’m capable of it as i suspect there is something deeply broken within me but biiiig fan of the concept.
SAMIRA SAYING “maybe i don’t belong here” AFTER ROBBY TELLS HER SHE NEEDS TO KEEP HER PERSONAL BAGGAGE OUTSIDE THE ER……. i swear to god i’ll force him to relive every ounce of hopelessness and helplessness he felt on that peds floor before making samira doubt herself again
“There's a reason why, when she's asking Dana if Abbot's still around because she wanted to ask him about a recommendation letter, she's talking about him and not Robby. Because she feels very seen by him in that moment.”
